Description visuelle et composition

🇬🇧 English Description

Visual Description and Composition

This contemporary abstract artwork is titled "Nos repères" (Our Landmarks / Benchmarks). The composition is built around a complex, heavily textured central totem-like structure rising vertically against a subtly blended grey and metallic backdrop.

  • Structure and Central Elements: The central vertical axis features engraved geometric patterns (triangles, diamonds, tribal or architectural motifs), fluid black raised lines, and bold horizontal white bars.

  • Details, Shapes, and Colors: To the left, a cluster of white and gold circular rings floats over impasto paint splatters. A horizontal band of bronze-ochre raised dots spans the middle of the canvas, while small accent dots of bright color — orange-red near the top and neon green near the bottom — serve as striking visual reference points.

  • Signature: The artist's signature Sylvie Cloutier is located in the bottom-right corner.
